Introduction Practice Entry. Who I am and what I strive for.

Hello everyone! My name is Stephen Holtz, aka Meadowlarc. I'm the Moderator of this wonderful Blog and i'll be guiding you through the swath of news about Video Games. But first, i'm sure you're more than curious about me.
Well to start, again my name is Stephen, and I love video games. They have been a part of my life for a rather long time. Alternately, I've also had a soft spot in my heart for cooking and the culinary arts. After studying cooking for a while, it occurred to me that that isn't what I wanted to do in life. My college life then turned a 180 for a hobby I wanted a career for. So I enrolled in the Computer Science and Engineering degree at Glendale Community College so I could learn further the development skills of Software Engineering.

Most of what I want to do with that degree includes developing Video Games. I'd seen countless designers and developers build a legacy on an idea for a new kind of fun, and often thought to myself how much i'd love to be able to do that as well. With so much technology on the forefront, it almost seems as if it's become necessary to do the most and best work with it (especially when it is a multi-billion dollar industry). Plus with so much effort in making games available to everyone, it's a necessity for health and life.

So much of what I see today just proves how new and exciting this industry really is.Video Games have become larger than what people might ever have thought. I don't want to sound preachy, so i'll stop there and let you soak in what I've written so far. Also, i'm starting my official "Comment Question of the Day", so be ready to talk.

In the comments section, tell me, what is your favorite Video Game of all time?

  1. My FAVORITE game that will never change is Mario Kart 64 :) But I really like COD: MW3. I haven't played Skyrim yet, but I've been wanting to!

  2. I do not play video games;however when I was about 13 yaers old, my sister and my friends would go to this place called "The Game Room" and have Tetris competitions. That was as far as my video gaming has gone.
